Nestled in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont, the Orleans County Fair has been operating for 149 years, and as I am sure you can appreciate, it is a challenge for us to reinvent ourselves nearly 150 times, while still protecting the Heritage that makes the Orleans County Fair a place that changes our Hearts and makes an impression on our community from Kids to Seniors… We are a Blue Ribbon Agricultural Fair that is support by community volunteers. As a non-profit entity, our roots are deep within our community and we take pride in drawing approximately 25,000 people to our five day fair in August. The grounds are alive with activity all thru the summer and the Heritage that we support, OCFA represents the backbone of Vermont and that of our future. Our programs have been designed to demonstrate the link between Farms, Food and Fun to young and old alike throughout the Northeast.
As we enter our 149th year, we are very excited to share with you our lineup of events for 2016. There is something for everyone with daily acts such as Kachunga and the Alligator, World of Wonder Amazement Show, Masters of the Chainsaw; Buddy the Clown and the National Guard Obstacle Course. Not to mention Kids Day Wednesday& Thursday, Harness Racing, ATV and Lawn Mower Pulls, 4X4 Truck Pulls, Antique/Stock/ Hot Farm Tractor Pulls, Cattle & Horse showing, Oxen – Horse & Pony pulling and more. Don’t miss the Thursday night Black Cat Hell Drivers in their daring stunt show at 8pm. As we end the week on Sunday, come see the Demolition derby come alive with lots of action and thrills in front of the grandstand!
